Brauneberger Kammer Feinherb
Off-dry Riesling — "Feinherb" marks a touch of residual sweetness that balances the acidity. Fresh, and a good match for spiced food and blue cheese.
Weingut Paulinshof · Mosel, Germany
Dry Riesling from a Grosses Gewächs classified site. Notes of slate, red apple and apricot, with a finish that carries the slate through.
Brauneberger Kammer is the Jüngling family's Lage im Alleinbesitz — they own the entire vineyard on their own. The GG (Grosses Gewächs) classification marks Germany's top-tier dry wines, in line with French Premier or Grand Cru.
The grapes are hand-picked from old vines on steep slate slopes. The wine is golden with green highlights. On the nose: ripe yellow apples, apricot, white peach, and smoky slate. Dry on the palate, with acidity that keeps the fruit in place. The finish carries the slate through and draws in citrus.
