Blanc de Blancs — "white from whites" — made from 100% Chardonnay. Mountfield sits on chalk soil in Sussex, the same geological formation as Champagne. Traditional method, with long lees ageing.
Pale gold colour, fine and persistent bubbles. Citrus, green apples, white flowers, brioche and mineral notes on the nose. Creamy on the palate, taut acidity, and a finish that holds.
