Frauenberg is one of Engel's key sites, on the Nieder-Flörsheim side of southern Rheinhessen. Grapes are hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation on native yeasts, then extended ageing on the lees before bottling.
Pale yellow in the glass. Clear, fresh yellow fruit on the nose alongside subtle wild-yeast notes. The palate is acid-driven with a saline, mineral finish.
